HYDRAULIC PROPORTIONAL TRACTOR BRAKE VALVE - MECHANICAL

Description:

A proportional brake valve is a device that brakes a trailer synchronously with a tractor. The valve is mounted on the tractor where it is connected to the hydraulics and directional valves and the existing brake system of the tractor.

The trailer brake valve is operated directly via the tractor brake pressure. Without pressure in the brake actuator (Y; Tractor brake system) is B connected to  T (Tank) and P connected to N (excess flow). When the flow in Y increases, firstly the actuator opens the non-return spring, then closes the connection between ports B and T, and opens a connection between ports B in P. It also reduces flow if necessary between ports P and N to produce enough pressure on port B. In Load Sensing valve is the LS connected with port B. The surface on which the back pressure acts with a force back on the brake pressure pipe. The valve has a mechanical limitation of the maximum pressure of the trailer brakes on the pressure of 140 Barov (+10 Bar). In the first stage of braking, the valve can divert the entire flow from the pump to the trailer brakes, so the consumer can be without oil at connection N for a short time.

Caution when mounting:

The trailer brake valve is a safety component and must be installed with the highest priority in the system.

Do not connect the valve before installing other safety components (eg steering mechanism).

As a rule, the valve is connected between the pump (continuous flow pump or Load Sensing pump) and between the control valve without an additional safety valve connected to this hydraulic circuit.
